Update

Whew, what a busy few weeks there. Sorry for not posting last week, I’ve been swamped.

I underwent surgery (don’t worry, I’m fine), participated in a Writing Battle (again, don’t worry, that short story will be uploaded here for your enjoyment once the competition’s over), as well as launching my official author instagram page!! I really wanted to update everyone on the progress of ‘The Whispering Depths’. I’ve had a little while off work recently to really focus on this project, due to the surgery. You can rest assured, it’s well on the way. I just finished the third draft yesterday, so I’ll be leaving it alone for a few weeks to let it calm down in my mind before I edit and tweak and revise and cut. But it is coming, and perhaps even sooner than expected.

You will also be excited to hear, I’m sure, that ‘The Whispering Depths’ will officially be released as a paperback for all you physical book lovers. It will be available online at Amazon, IngramSpark, and perhaps even on this very website.

Keep an eye out.

I’ve also been focusing on the business aspects of my literary career. Writing a good book is only 40% of the work of an author, or so the ancient wisdom tells us. The aforementioned instagram page, networking, advertising, even this website and blog that you are reading now. All important tools and facets of the modern realities of authorship.

Needless to say, it’s… a lot. A lot of work, a lot of effort, a lot of time and money. But it’s part of the journey and it’s what I enjoy.
